Client Overview: Mahrte Tactical
Mahrte Tactical, founded in 2009 by brothers MaurÃcio and Henrique Mahrte, is a Brazilian company based in São Paulo that specializes in selling tactical gear and clothing. With a team of energetic employees, the company has established itself as a leading provider of high-quality products in the market.
The product range offered by Mahrte Tactical is extensive, covering various categories to meet the needs of its customers. Their clothing line includes uniforms, jackets, pants, shirts, and hats, all designed specifically for tactical use. Additionally, they offer a wide selection of tactical gear such as backpacks, helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and gloves. Accessories like flashlights, knives, and binoculars are also available to complement their product offerings.
Mahrte Tactical has gained a solid reputation among Brazilian law enforcement officers, security guards, and military personnel who rely on their products for professional use. However, their appeal extends beyond these specialized fields, attracting civilians interested in self-defense or outdoor activities. The brand’s popularity and demand have contributed to their expansion, including the opening of new stores and the continual growth of their product line.
The Challenges: Time-Consuming Delivery Process
The client, who was manually handling the commerce & delivery process of tactical gear for the Brazilian army and police personnel, faced significant challenges that led them to seek an automated solution through an e-commerce portal. The existing manual process was time-consuming, laborious, and prone to mistakes and delays. To reduce the manual efforts, clients required a unified ecommerce platform that could cater to three distinct user types: sellers, eligible clients (army or police personnel), and the back-office staff responsible for confirmation, requirements, and supply management.
The primary challenge for our project team was to seamlessly integrate these three user types onto a single platform and establish a functional workflow and that too within a timeframe of 6 weeks. This task was further complicated by the client’s diverse linguistic and geographical background. Furthermore, the client expressed concerns about keeping the website up-to-date with the latest versions of WordPress and WooCommerce, necessitating continuous maintenance and monitoring technologies.
The Solution: Efficient E-Commerce Portal Powered by WordPress
Our team successfully implemented an efficient online portal for Mahrte Tactical by utilizing WordPress Core and PHP as the backend, complemented by WooCommerce for seamless e-commerce processing. To meet the client’s specific design requirements, we crafted a custom frontend using Bootstrap and HTML5. The combination of Bootstrap and HTML5 allowed us to create a visually appealing and responsive user interface (UI).
Here’s how the dashboards look for different parties:
We furthered the UI experience by incorporating JQuery-ui and Ajax, which enabled us to add interactive features and streamline activities such as confirmation, document uploading, and order management. By leveraging the power of WordPress, we were able to streamline the entire process and eliminate the need for manual work, resulting in a significant boost in overall efficiency for Mahrte Tactical.
The development and deployment of the online portal required a dedicated team, including a Development Server, Design and HTML Professional, Backend Developer, and Testing Professional. Additionally, the active involvement of a Network Admin, Business Analyst, and Project Manager ensured timely project delivery, meeting the client’s requirements.
